Big Bird the Bird needs a home

Big Bird is a 30-year-old blue & gold macaw who was surrendered to FFSR along with his Greenwing friend Vinnie when their former owner became unable to continue caring for them. They are both great birds, although Big Bird seems to take a little longer to establish trust with new people. Big Bird likes to shake hands and he enjoys petting and "scritches". And while Big Bird is used to sharing a home (but not a cage) with another macaw, he might prefer to have the family's attention focused solely on him. Please consider contacting FFSR for an appointment to come meet this beautiful bird!  Several visits are required before an adoption can take place.
